Our Holiday Card - 2022

2022 was yet another busy year for us, so much that I almost didn’t bother with a holiday card. Then, right after Thanksgiving, I decided we had enough photos and had done enough cool things that it was worth it.

Typically, I write up a little blurb about milestones throughout the year, but this time, I didn’t. I went with a very simple (to me) design that I felt shared those moments pretty well.

Main image: Us during a January trip to Zion National Park, a rare family photo that isn’t a selfie!
#1 image: My oldest winning gold at the USA TKD National Championships in cadet black belt sparring
#2 image: My youngest winning gold at the USATF Utah State track & field championships (I can’t remember what event, either long jump or javelin)
#3 image: My boys with my dad on the trail to Cecret Lake in the Wasatch Mountains when my parents visited in July
#4 Image: My boys and me when both my oldest and I received our black belts in taekwondo in May
#5 Image: All four of us at Gooseberry Mesa in southern Utah
#6 image: My husband and me all dressed up for a friend’s quinceañera.

I ordered these cards to be printed with Overnight Prints and I actually ended up returning them. The printing had been pretty terrible. They were printed so dark that the background looked black and more than half of the cards had a white edge along the top or bottom because they were trimmed incorrectly. Thankfully, Overnight Prints was happy to reprint them for me and I got them out well before New Year’s (always my goal). But I have had my cards printed with them a lot over the year and this was a first.

I alway love to find a salutation that isn’t specific to Christmas. That way I don’t feel like I HAVE to get my cards to folks’ homes before then. ;-)
