I'm Alex (she/her); an artist and mom. I’m a San Francisco Bay Area native who moved to the Salt Lake Valley more than a decade ago and I LOVE living by the mountains.
I love the outdoors, travel, soccer, and getting completely lost in a great book. I try to read 100+ books a year (long before BookTok). I geek out over art, history, and the fandoms of Outlander and Star Trek. I’m a foodie, a dabbler in crafty stuff and picture framing, and I take frequent side quests to taekwondo tournaments, track & field meets, cross country meets, and soccer games as a sports photographer.
I began practicing taekwondo at 40 and earned my 1st degree black belt in 2021. Since then, I’ve become a two-time Utah State Champ in poomsae and, in 2025, proudly won gold in board breaking at the USA Taekwondo National Championships.
My oldest convinced me to make an intro post a while back, so click here if you want to learn 10 random facts about me. I should probably make a new one…
When I was in 1st grade, I won a school art contest and my drawing was displayed at our shopping mall. I still remember the pride I felt seeing my drawing in a public space and I believe that was the start of my interest in all things art.
I’m a multidisciplinary creative with nearly 20 years of experience in visual design and traditional art. I love to help small businesses bring their brand to life with polished, professional graphics and strategic design solutions—and I also create original fine art that brings beauty, calm, and inspiration into the world.
I specialize in vector graphics and have worked extensively with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to create everything from business branding, social media content, and product manuals to apparel mockups, kids workbooks, and media kits. I love helping small businesses, nonprofits, and solopreneurs who don’t have in-house design support but want their brand to look like it does.
In addition to design, I’m also a trained painter and a sucker for waterfalls, red rock, sunsets, and starry skies. I work in watercolor, ink, gouache, acrylics, and oils—and I sell original work prints, stickers, and illustrate for children’s books and other creative projects. I’m open for commissions.
I’m also skilled in photography, photo editing, content creation, and learning new tools like Premiere Pro and CapCut to support dynamic, engaging storytelling.
I am always looking to connect with business owners to bring creative ideas to fruition; whether it’s a short-term gig or a long-term contract. I've been able to contract with some really great companies. Some of my favorites: OutGrown (Hike it Baby), Land Beyond Zion, Líllébaby, Wolfpack Running Club, Spirit For Us, Skye Mountain Construction, and AMYS Martial Arts.
