Melissa & Jeff's Baby Shower

I had the pleasure of creating a baby shower invitation for Melissa and Jeff with some really beautiful colors and fonts. Here's the invitation:

Folded tent cards acted as signs for the buffet. The same design could easily work for place cards too.

Favor tags adorned small mason jars filled with sugar scrub. Perfect for the sugar & spice theme.

Lastly, a front door sign welcomed guests to the party.

Alex's Baby Sprinkle

When I was pregnant with my second baby, my mom wanted to throw me a baby shower. I was a little uncomfortable with it... second baby, also a boy. I didn't want friends and family to think I was just asking for more stuff. My mom argued that my boys would be born in completely opposite seasons and were going to be over four years apart, so we likely needed some new clothes and new gear. Plus, my mom loves any excuse to have a party, so who was I to argue?

Being the designer I am, I volun-told my mom that I would come up with the invitations and any other printed items for what we were calling a "sprinkle." Since it was held in February, the odds were good it could rain, so I went with a fun rainy theme. Of course, it was gorgeous that day and in the 70s!

I had a lot of fun with the wording!

For party favors, my mom made a big batch of lemon sugar scrub and put them in half-pint-sized mason jars. I added a circle label to the top.

This is one of my favorite printed items for baby showers these days, a card where guests write down their wishes for the new baby. I have even done one of these for a child's first birthday too!

A few of these little umbrellas decorated the food table.

I printed out a bunch of cards like this so we could play some baby-themed Pictonary. It was hilarious how difficult it was to draw some of these!

I cut out this sign in a cloud shape for the front door.

Lastly, I created some simple thank you cards to send to everyone who came, whether they gave a gift or not.

I felt so blessed to share such a wonderful day with my close friends and family. If you'd like to read more details about the party itself, check out this blog post on Mama Say What?!

Kristen's Baby Shower

I had the pleasure of working with Kristen's friend, Aubrie on the invitations for her baby shower. Kristen was expecting boy and girl twins, so we had some fun with the design.

As a fun extra, Aubrie asked me to create some nursery artwork. She had the prints matted and framed and then asked all of the guests to write well wishes on the mats. I love how they turned out!

So much love!! Congrats Kristen!

Little Peanut Baby Shower

I loved the elephant-themed baby shower invitation I created for JoAnna so much that I reworked the colors to be more gender neutral and added this suite of printed items to my Etsy shop. Here's the listing.

The invitation is 7x5 and the text can be edited using Adobe Reader. Because of the nature or writable PDF files, the font, alignment, size and color of the text cannot be changed.

The optional insert is 3.5x5 and can be a great way to share registry information or to let guests know about a diaper raffle or a theme for gifts. Simple favor tags can be attached to bags as shown or printed onto sticker paper and adhered to treat bags (the text on the favor tags cannot be edited).

Cupcake toppers can easily be made with a circle punch. The files come with both "It's a boy" and "it's a girl" tags.

The water bottle label can be printed on waterproof labels or can be used to decorate vases or candles. It also has a baby-themed nutritional label on the back.

A simple front door sign is printed at 8.5x11 and can be trimmed down to 8x10 to fit into a frame if desired.

The place cards can also be used to label food items on a buffet table and the simple thank you card is blank on the inside so you can write a message.

I love this suite of baby shower items and I plan to add a couple more that are slightly different, but use the same elephant graphics. Any suggestions on a color scheme??
