In pulling myself out of a year-long painting slump, I painted my beloved Lone Peak shrouded in clouds from a photo I took back in May when Utah’s spring weather was acting especially drunk. She’s the peak I see from my street and a favorite of mine.
My Dream Studio
What would I put in a dream studio if money I had no budget and could build out anything I want?? Lots of natural light and space for lots of different projects, including a space for my computer, an easel for painting, a big table for crafts and picture framing, and a sink for fabric dyeing projects. :::wrings hands together in glee:::

Delicate Arch in Watercolor
Lone Peak in Watercolor
I have wanted to do a larger painting of Lone Peak for quite a while. It’s the biggest and most prominent mountain that I see from the part of the Salt Lake Valley where I live. I periodically post images of my view on Instagram. You can see the vast differences in weather, light, and colors.
4-Day Galaxy Skies Challenge
As part of my effort to light a fire under my butt to paint more often, I decided to participate in a 4-day galaxy skies painting challenge that I saw on SkillShare with artist Swathi Ganesha. Click here if you’d like to try a month of SkillShare for free.
