Bridget & Gannon

Gannon's sister, Miriam is a long-time friend and client and I was thrilled to be asked to create invitations for their wedding. Their wedding colors included magenta, sage green, and accents in metallic gold, and Bridget loved a few invitations she saw that had this sparkly burst of dots, so that's where I went with the invitations.

We created just one insert to go with the invitation. It included how to R.S.V.P. and information about the reception.

I love how everything turned out and I hope married live has been wonderful for you both. Congratulations!

Nikki & Damienn

Since my website was hacked a couple of years ago, I'm still getting some older projects added back to my blog. Nikki and Damienn's is one of them. They got married back in 2010, but their invitation still deserves a spot in the blog.

Nikki was such an awesome bride to work with. She was planning a black tie wedding for their families and we wanted the invitation to reflect that. I think we succeeded.

Extra thanks to Nikki for being gracious enough to send me an invitation and program so I could photograph them for my website.

She went with Perfetto pocketfolds from Cards and Pockets in a matte black and the printed items were printed on a metallic pearl card stock.

There were just three inserts and love the pop of color that came from the metallic green rsvp envelope. The color is Fairway, also from Cards and Pockets.

We continued with a menu that was set at each place setting at the wedding reception.

For a wedding program, Nikki wanted to go with an elegant booklet that was bound with black satin ribbon. Kudos to the printing company she used for getting these black covers looking so good.

The back cover said thanks to the friends and family members who couldn't be there for the wedding. It's not easy to see, but I was stoked to see that the flourish that we used on their invitations printed beautifully in the background of the cover.

I love how all of these turned out and I hope Nikki and Damienn have enjoyed married life for the last seven-ish years.

Julianna's 1st Birthday

I had a blast creating this ballerina-themed birthday party for Julianna. I love the fonts, the colors, and the sparkly star pattern I created for the party. I'm seriously considering adding this one to my Etsy shop.

I created wraparound address labels to coordinate:

Julianna's mommy, JoAnna asked me to make a Birthday Wishes card for guests to fill out since she didn't have one at her baby shower.

We created a faux chalkboard with all of Julianna's first year stats too.

Lastly, I created a thank you card using a beautiful photo of Julianna.

Beautiful birthday girl!

Bridget's Bridal Shower

Bridget's future-sister-in-law Miriam asked me to create a bridal shower invitation that included sheet music of some kind since she loves music and musical theater. We kept it very feminine with lace and blush pink as well. I love how the invitation turned out!

We did a simple insert that listed rsvp information along with where Bridget was registered.

The third thing we created I absolutely love! We created 4x6 recipe cards that were mailed with each invitation. Guests were encouraged to write down a favorite recipe that was inserted into the plastic sleeves of a photo album (hence 4x6 instead of 3.5x5). When put all together, Bridget was presented with a cookbook to start her married life with. Miriam did this with a her friend Ashley's bridal shower too!

I hope the party was a blast, stay tuned for a post sharing Bridget's wedding invitation!!

Julianna's Birth Announcement

Julianna's mommy JoAnna has been a long-time client of mine. We first worked together many years ago on her wedding invitations. Since then, I've been lucky enough to create baby shower invitations, a birth announcement and birthday invitations for her oldest son. Her second baby is here and we're so happy to welcome her to the world!

I have changed their last name to protect privacy.

Welcome Julianna!

New Holiday Cards

It's a little later than I wanted, but I managed to get a few new holiday cards designs and added to my Etsy shop this past week.

I'll be accepting orders for holiday cards (whether custom or in my Etsy shop) thru Sunday, December 20th. After the 20th, I will deactivate holiday card listings in my shop and spending the week of Christmas with my family.

All of these designs have a couple of options when it comes to either a text color or a background color. Clicking on an image will take you to its listing in my shop.
