Emily & Shane

Emily contacted me last summer about creating a wedding invitation for her December wedding. She and Shane are both avid cyclists and they fell in love with the invitations I created for Melissa & Patrick. So I was happy to create something that fit the colors and style for their wedding. 

Emily was gracious enough to send me one of their invitations. They went with a gatefolded invitation with just one RSVP card insert.

The sillhouettes of the bicycles and the tandem bicycle are all of Emily and Shane's actual bikes!

They had everything printed on a lovely linen card stock, it really added a classy texture.

Don't stress, I changed their address.

For the wedding itself, we also created some fun signs. These photos were taken by their awesome wedding photographer Ashley Russ. If you click on any of the photos below, you'll head over to her website. 

This sign is my favorite: "I've got a fever! And the only prescription is more BIKE bell!" I wonder how many guests got the fun SNL reference. Guests wrote their well wishes onto the wood boards displayed in the background. It will make for some really cool wall art for their home.

Rather than print out a hundred or so programs for guests, they printed one large program that sat in an entryway for guests to know the afternoon's schedule.

They had a local food truck that specializes in fancy grilled cheese providing dinner for the evening. Yum!

It looks like it was a really lovely wedding, congratulations Shane and Emily!!

Julianna's 2nd Birthday

For her second birthday, Julianna's mommy JoAnna wanted to do an ice cream party. So we had fun with some watercolor textures for her invitation and the other items she had printed for the party. I love how it all turned out!

We did favor tags:

And an ice cream sundae sign.

Lastly JoAnna had a big backdrop printed for the big day.

Kaius' 1st Birthday

For his first birthday, Kaius' mommy, Breana fell in love with the dinosaur invitation I created for Charlee (I'll get the post up someday!), so we changed it to go with the color scheme she had in mind and I love how it turned out. 

Breana cut out paper hats in orange, blue, and lime green for the dinosaur on the invitations, and then cut out "bite marks" with a scalloped circle paper punch. I LOVE this little detail.

In addition to the birthday invitations, we also created a pennant banner that had the same faux chalkboard background. It said "Happy 1st Birthday Kaiusaurus Rex."

I also made a few signs for the food table. I think the Sweetivore sign is my favorite.

Many thanks to Breana for sharing a couple of photos from the party with me. All too often, I create such FUN items for a party or wedding and I never get to see how they looked. I'm so grateful for clients who remember to share them with me. Happy birthday Kaius!

Smith's 2nd Birthday

Smith's mommy, Jessica wanted to throw a truck-themed party for his second birthday and I was more than happy to do what I could to show off a few of his favorite trucks. At the time, his favorites were garbage trucks, construction trucks, and monster trucks, so I did my best to create an invitation that included all of them. I love how it turned out!

The text "I like big trucks and I cannot lie" was printed onto some plastic cups that Jessica saw online and it's what inspired her to do the truck theme for his birthday. So of course we had to use it on the invitations.

For the party, we also created a custom cupcake toppers. I absolutely LOVE the dump trucks holding snacks!

We also pennant banner for the wall.

Lastly, we made a simple thank you card that Jessica printed as folded cards so she could add a handwritten message inside.

Bridget & Gannon

Gannon's sister, Miriam is a long-time friend and client and I was thrilled to be asked to create invitations for their wedding. Their wedding colors included magenta, sage green, and accents in metallic gold, and Bridget loved a few invitations she saw that had this sparkly burst of dots, so that's where I went with the invitations. 

We created just one insert to go with the invitation. It included how to R.S.V.P. and information about the reception.

I love how everything turned out and I hope married live has been wonderful for you both. Congratulations!

Emily & Nathan's 1st and 7th Birthdays

Emily and Nathan's birthdays are only a month apart, so with Nathan's blessing, their mom, Cari planned a joint birthday party for them at a local children's science museum. This is the invitation I created for the big day:

This invitation was such fun to work on and I hope the party was a blast. Happy birthday to you both!

Maverick's Birth Announcement

My little sister and her husband welcomed their first child into the world this spring. Maverick was born on the day my sister had an appointment to get her hair cut and colored, but he obviously needed ALL of the attention that day. 

Maverick's daddy is a black belt in jujitsu, and he asked if we could do some sort of "fighter poster" with some made-up stats. I looked up vintage boxing and martial arts posters and came up with this for his birth announcement. I had to look up what the lightest weight class is in jujitsu, I've never heard of a strawweight.  

These were printed by Overnight Prints, and they don't charge extra for double-sided printing. So I put some cute photos on the back.

Ayva's Birth Announcement

I was thrilled to design a birth announcement for Ayva's mommy, Lora. 

We kept the design simple and straightforward and I really love how it turned out. Jarek is going to make one awesome big brother!
